Someone asked me if our 6 month old black Havanese had blueish skin? I thought it was a joke but when I looked he does.
Can anyone shed some light on the blue skin?

That’s because the skin is pigmented too. It’s just what the pigmentation does to the skin. If you look at a black and white dog (like a border collie) they will have bluish skin where the black fur is and pink skin where the white fur is.
