Which Breed Of Dog Should I Get: Norwich Terrier, Shih Tzu, Or Havanese?

I know that I really have to meet the ones, but I want you guys’ opinion. On my last question, I got a mean and insultingly idiotic answer, so please… don’t. However, for those who want to help becasue I really can’t decide, thanks. 🙂

  1. First of all, what type of dog do you like?
Shih Tzu can be very hairy and get all over your clothes. But i would pick a Norwich Terrier.

  2. Since the Norwich Terrier has a much different personality than the other two, and since the Shih Tzu has much different grooming needs than the other two, my question to you is, “What are you looking for in a dog?”
Dog breeds are not randomly interchangeable.
If you want a low-maintenance (grooming-wise) dog with a sharp brain and a lot of energy, get the Norwich Terrier.
If you want a friendly, outgoing dog who needs to go to the groomer at least once a month, get the Shih Tzu.
If you want an affable lap dog with some unique grooming needs, do your research and get the Havanese. But be ready to pay big bucks for one, because if you skimp on it and go with the cheap puppy from the backyard breeder, you’ll pay for it in vet bills down the road. (Actually, that applies to ANY dog, but moreso with the “rare” breeds)

  3. well it kinda depends on things like how much time you want to spend on grooming on things like that. if you are not someone who wants to spend time or money on grooming then you should cross out Shih Tzu and Havanese because they need tons of grooming.and it also depends on what energy level you want because Norwich Terriers are highly active dogs i mean after all they are terriers.but all in all i believe Norwich terriers are great dogs.

  4. Three very different breeds. It doesn’t matter what WE think. You want to know why? Because WE don’t have to live with the dog. You do. Most people don’t even really know anything about all 3 breeds. I used to live with a shih tzu and I can still say I don’t know much about the breed.

  5. Choosing a dog would depend mostly in meeting your requirements, compatibility with your personality and lifestyle. I found this breed selector test that can actuallyhelp you identify the perfect match for you. I personally used this in getting my bulldog. good luck!http://tinyurl.com/64g7oa

  6. A shih-tzu every time!
Bred to be house dogs, they are patient, loyal and loving – very intelligent. And so cute!
Don’t pay heed to the post about hairs – they do not shed their hair and are therefore perfect for anyone with allergies. If you keep them short then grooming is very easy.
Take a look at my shih-tzu Geordie on http://www.loveshihtzu.com
    Good luck!

  7. Shih Tzu, hands down.
I’ve known all three, and had a Shih Tzu for almost 15 years – he was one of the best dogs I’ve ever had, and I’ve had a LOT of dogs.
The terriers are tough, as is the Havanese – Shih Tzus are just cheerful, clever, and fun.

  8. I loooovveeee Norwich Terriers
But they r the only breeed u listed that are a workin breed. They will require a little more exercise than the other 2
