i think a greyhound is perfect for you!
jogging- greyhounds are running dogs. they love to run and are used to log jogs. they would make great jogging dogs and arent the type of dog to drag you with them. they keep the pace with you and like to stay by your side.
hours alone- greyhounds cant be alone for more than 7 hours just because they are very sensitive and get lonely easily. your schedule is also another perfect reason to get a greyhound!
grooming and shedding- greyhounds dont need a lot of grooming. they have very short fur and dont shed a lot. greyhounds need a bath maybe every month or so and do the brushing after baths. grooming increases the bond between you and your dog
companion- greyhounds are one of the most friendly breeds around. they love to cuddle and arent aggressive at all. they do well with children and learn tricks easily. normally greyhounds dont fetch but they love to run! also there is one flaw that this breed has. they can never be off the leash unless they are in a fenced in area or in the house. even the most loyal greyhound will make a mad dash if they spot anything small the moves such as a rabbit, squirrel or bird.
size- they are medium sized dogs and can live in small areas. they are used to spending 22 hours of there day in a crate. i wouldnt do this though.
where to get one and price- i recommend getting one from off track. these are the most affectionate ones and have the biggest personality. they range from 2-5 years old and price from 200-235 dollars. look for adoption agencies near you. greyhounds are just the sweetest dogs and you will never once regret getting one. greyhounds from off track have never had a family and need to find there forever home. you will be saving a dog and finding the best friend you will ever have

ya go check out a shelter and see if you like any of the dogs there. if not, based on what you said, and if you are actually committed to what you said you would do, any working bred dog will be good. A lab or golden retriever would seem to fit your criteria quite perfectly, though golden retrievers have longer hair and shed a bit more. maybe even a husky, though in that case you would have to be extremely consistent with your exercise plan, as they can get rather destructive if they have to find their own ways to burn off energy. I’d suggest a GSD too, but they have rather long fur that can shed in clumps if not groomed properly.

i have a goldie and shes just my precious babyy.
of course, you would have to train your dog how to walk and
teach them to heal and stuff INORDER to stay at your pace and
blah blah blah. you cant just get a dog and expect them to know what you want them to do. you should take out atleast 30 min a day to train your dog, and always praise him/her(: golden retrievers dont shed alot unless if you’re never going to brush her/him. golden retrievers LOVES people and other dogs, they like being with people and not alone. but my dog is ok with me going off to school for idk 6 or 7 hours a day. but i always come home giving my lucy every bit of my attention.
i got my doggie for 500, but personally…i think she should of been 40,000000 because shes that smart ;] golden retrievers are always eager to learn and to please, so it would be easy to train them too !
good luckkkkkk and NEVER EVER nEVER EVER, mistreat your dog.
i swear to god if i was a dog park and saw someone hit their dog, i would go up to them and slap them in the face.

Depends on the small dog! Some are much more energetic than others.
Jack Russells are big dogs packed into small bodies–they could keep up with the jogging, no prob. At home though, they are brilliant & energetic and need attention. They can climb ladders, pull grapefruits off trees, and field a basketball all over the yard. They don’t shed too much but could stand a good brushing once or twice a week.
They are fiercely loyal and obedient and will love you to the end, but they do need to let energy out.
Any dog with a scrunched up face like a pug or bulldog is NOT good for jogging–so stay away from those, even though they’re great house pets. Be careful though as you get into the bigger breeds–they tend to need more strict training & discipline.
A greyhound might also be a great match and there are plenty of rescues looking for homes. All the ones I met while dog grooming were super sweet, calm, and just plain wonderful dogs.

go to your nearest shelter. you don’t have to spend much to find a great dog there.
