Havanese are a wonderful little breed.
They are not yappy, they are very bright and learn FAST.
They are a sturdy little breed that have few health problems.
They love kids, cats, other dogs, everybody.
They are CUTE!
They come in every color you can imagine.
They are low on the allergy scale.
I could go on and on!
The only two drawbacks to a Havanese I can think of is, they do need regular grooming, and they are ADDICTIVE, like potato chips, it’s hard to just have one!

There are many great characteristics of the Havanese.
Cute, really smart, the perfect size, friendly…
Important notes, just like any dog early socialization is mandatory, frequent exposure to everything that is new and different is important.
The one drawback … if you don’t brush and comb and brush again for 10 minutes today, then tomorrow you’ll need to do it for 20 minutes. Between the ages of 8 to 16 months “blowing coat” means diligent work to comb out the loose hair, before it turns into mats. On the other hand, if you don’t want to keep your Havanese in full coat, then you could give her/him a cute puppy cut. IOW, just don’t cut the hair shorter than 3 inches except the lower belly, feet and butt. And don’t let your groomer turn your Havanese into a Shnauzer.
well they have been good the ones i have been around i don’t really know too much about them we have a couple that come in to the shop and they are all sweet
I haven’t had any problems with my havanese.
