Any Suggestions On What Kind Of Dog I Should Get?

I am considering (key word) getting a dog right now. I live in a one bedroom apartment with my fiance. I work night shifts; I can be home during the day, and I stay up late because I get off late. Obviously, I would need a relatively small dog. I would also like one who trains easily. For instance, I don’t want a dog I have to lock up. Recently, I have been looking at the Havanese breed. What do you guys think, and what experiences have you had?
Note: Please don’t tell me to go to the pound. The only thing I have found there are very large dogs, and our apartment is not even close to big enough.

What Type Of Dog Should I Get?

I want a dog that is fairly easy to train 25 pounds or less can be left home during the day doesn’t shead too much is fairly playful it’s excercise requirements can be met with 1-3 walks that are 10-20 mintues long daily has a moderate energy level is affectionate and friendly towards other animals dogs and strangers is pretty easy too train it’s grooming requirements can be met with brushing 3 times weekly or less is tolerate to heat and pretty tolerate to the cold I have found four breeds that I’m am interested in which are the cavalier king Charles spaniel, havanese, Japanese chin, or papillon so please help me choose between those four breeds or give your own recomendations please be as detailed as possible and I know I am asking for an almost perfect dog but please do your best to help

My Pit Bull Puppy Has Serious Behavior Issues..what Should I Do?

its insain…whne ever we leave him alone he tears up EVERYTHING…he is STILL not house broken and ive been trying since easter (thats when i got him)
and hes SOOOO greedy with food…its like once u feed him his brain switches to food mode and he doesnt stop
hes already showing signs of food aggession
and we also have a small dog..shes a havanese and he is always messing with her…i know hes playing but i dont want him to think its ok for him to bite her when hes 3 times her size u know?
ohhh and the worst of it is when he eats the cats poop out of the litter box…uggghh……its gross
i want to kennel train him but he wines and barks and where i live the police can site you for your dog or puppy making to much noise
does any one know what i can do?
i dont have enough money to hire a trainer to do it

What Dog Should I Get Between A Maltese Or A Havanese, They Are Both Very Similar?

I like them both very much and find it hard to decide
I prefer the Havanese as they come in different colours
But i also like the Maltese as they are smaller
I want a playful, lively, affectionate dog which likes indoors

I am thinking of getting a doberman to live in my house for protection. I have a havanese male who is very submissive and a companion dog but I want a larger dog to keep people from breaking in. The female I am thinking of getting is 2. She is not fixed yet but when I get her she will be. She is good with children but is wary of stangers which may pose a problem becuase I run a daycare but I can always lock her out of the room until she gets used to the traffic. She had some obedience training but the owner has neglected her for the last year and left her in a crate almost 24/7. She has never been around small animals (cats, bunnies) and we have bunnies but I am willing to move them to a separate part of the house until she learns they are okay. She is house trained. BUT she can be agressive with other female dogs. Her mother is very agressive but she is not as bad. She also lives in a house with 20 or more other dogs who also live in crates.

I am adopting a 3 month old Shih Tzu female puppy today from a rescue organization, she is one of the many dogs rescued from the puppymill bust in Jackson County, Georgia where the “breeder” is facing several animal cruelty charges. I have a 9 month old male Havaton, Grady (Havanese/Coton de Tulear) who is wonderful, sleeps through the night, was potty trained in four months and is excited about getting a new sister! But I understand Shih Tzu are typically pretty difficult to housebreak. Also, she was fixed 3 days ago so she’s probably going to be pretty sore. When is it okay to let her play with Grady?

I’m planning on buying my parents a dog this Christmas (they really want one). They need a calm, easy-to-train, quiet dog that doesn’t require much exersise and but does have a little bit of a playful side to it. It also has to be really, really small! Should I Get A Dog Or Not…if So Maybe A Havanese??

i am 19 years old and in college. i know i will have time to walk the dog but there will be some times when i am not at home. i dont want a dog who needs EXCESS attention like a yorkie or other hyperactive dogs that get bored really easily and i dont want a cat because i think they are too anti-social as well as shedding too much. i am also very allergic to most dogs so i wonder what kind of dog is good for allergy sufferers and is smart learns fairly quick, that likes to be active some times lazy other times. i want to buy a dog not a puppy because i do not have time to potty train this is also a problem because i dont know where to find a breeder with a teenage dog. i was thinking about getting a havanese or something similar…please give me any suggestions!
