i’m a shelter fan but, out of these breeds, i’d go with the schnauzer.

dont get a schnauzer as they are very energetic, smae with toy poodles, and bichon’s. I’d go with Havanese. Or just research

toy maltese poodles are the best. I have two and i love them SOOO much. They are so cuddly and cute, they dont shed and they are very obedient, loyal, loving and honor their master. You will love them. Oh and they are SUPER smart thanks to the poodle in them. You will be amazed at there intelligence.

My heart is with the mini schnauzer. Ours was the most intelligent dog I have ever met. She was fiercely loyal to me and held onto life until I got to her and she died in my arms. I could tell her to get the baby a new but* and she would run into his room and come back with a new diaper. She NEVER had any accidents in the house. My family would call to see if Molly could spend the night with them. Definitely not hyper and was perfectly crate trained during the day and slept in bed with us at night. I am hoping the new hubby will let me get one SOON!
From tthe minute my son came home from the hospital, she was very interested and loving with him. When he cried, she would come find me. She never had any biting issues with him.

We got a bichon puppy about a year ago. She is EXCELLENT with my 6 year old brother and takes a lot of handling, petting, and playing very well. Bichons do not shed and are extremely people friendly. You will find that they will always want to be by your side when you are in the room with them. Toy poodles are also very good dogs with children. My boyfriend’s family has two and they do well when their family friend’s 4 year old daughter visits for a few days.

Those are four very different breeds, and its not just because they don’t look the same.
Here is some good research on the breeds. Read about them, write down all the pros and cons that you may have about each breed as you read about them, compare how many pros and cons that you’ve written about them, and pick the one that has more pros than cons. :0)
