If I were you I would go to petfinder.com and search the poodles. I’m sure you can find a cute one crossed with another low allergy breed. Someone already posted the list.

The low-allergy dogs are poodles, bichons, and a few others. There is a website that lists these breeds. As for cheapest, you should consider adopting a dog or puppy through petfinder.com.

I have 5 pugs who SHED horribly. I have EXTREME allergies to 36 different environmental factors. Anyway, I take my meds and do A LOT of vacuuming, and it’s managable. I wouldn’t trade ANYTHING for my pugs! They are the best little dogs in the world! Great disposition and cute as a bug! Like I said, though, pugs SHED all the time…

Im not sure about the pug being low allergy to people, i am owned by a pug, but have no allergy problems myself. they shed really bad though,(worse than my persian cats) im not sure if that also means more dander. But also with pugs they are prone to skin and food allergys themselves, along with a list of other health problems including epilepsy,Pug Dog Encephalitis is an inflammatory disease of the brain, Tracheal Collapse,Portosystemic Shunt (PSS), the list goes on. lol. I have a 4 yr old fawn pug, he has already had entropion surgery on his face and a wrinkle reduction to improve breathing, and just that was a grand. He has food allergys, skin allergys, cronic yeast infections and all these meds add up quick, even the little ones cuz its monthy refils. I wouldnt trade him for the world, i just want potiental pug owners to understand the full scope of owning a pug.

Pomeranian isn’t. I sneeze all of the time. my husband had him before me though so I have to wait until he dies to be rid of it.

Neither of those breeds you mentioned are hypo-allergenic. Poodles and Bichons are, along with ****-Tzu. I have a ****-Tzu and I love him, he sheds no hair, it is great. There quiet, friendly, and aren’t a nuisance. Very well mannered and intelligent dogs. Good luck on your search!

Pugs shed ALOT becuase they have a double coat. This may affect allergies. pugs also cost from $450-$700

I had a Lhasa Apso. Fabulous dog and I was told
he was hypoallergenic. His coat was more similar
to hair than fur. Beautiful dog.
I currently have a pug and a coc-a-poo (cocker spaniel/poodle
mix). My ex-husband gives the coc-a-poo meds that keep him
from shedding.
Check with your local animal shelter about the dogs available.
I totally lucked out with a 5 month old pure pug!! And I answered
an ad about the Lhasa who was 2-1/2 years old. There are some
absolutely fabulous dogs out there who need a good home.

If you are looking for a mixed breed, I would suggest going to a shelter. Chances are if you are getting a mix, well then they are backyard breeders anyways, and will most likely charge up the wazoo. Of the three you listed, I would say havanese would be the least likely to bother allergies. But, havanese are pretty rare. Good luck!
