There is plenty of information on all breeds there
Believe it or not Pomeranians were used long along to herd in reindeer..They are small and would nip the hooves of the reindeer to keep them moving..They have very thick coats, which should be brushed daily..Their coats were meant for cold weather up north..They are a very good dog to have around…But are known for hip problems later on in life…A sweet choice if you decide..They live to be around 15..
Yes they do need grooming, its good to have a fenced yard(unless you want them on a leash for their life, or if you live near a dog park), papillons especially are intellgent(im not sure about the others), all dogs should be playful. The havanese is what is known as hypo allergenic, which means people with mild allergies can handle them, and another bonus is they dont shed.
Poms require lots of grooming. They are yippy and bark at the grass growing. They love the companionship of mature adults, but don’t particularly like the fast actions of children.
I have a papillon (had 6 at one time, that was a blast lol)
They don’t require much grooming at all, just a brush now and then, and once every few months they need the fur trimmed between the pads of their feet. Ours is very playful and VERY smart. She learns a trick within a few times of being shown. Doesn’t shed much.
All dogs need a fenced yard, unless you can take them on a leash each time they leave your home.
Poms, Havanese, and CKCS will need grooming. Papillions will need less.
Poms and havanese are not the brightest dogs in the world.
All dogs shed. Of these, the Havanese will probably shed the least.
Try visiting http://www.akc.org, click on ‘breeds’ and then select each of these breeds. From there, on the left will be a link the the national breed club. Use their information pages to answer more questions, and never hesitate to contact people in your local breed groups to find out more about the dogs.
: )
I don’t know a whole lot about these breeds. I just wanted to tell you that i work at a vet clinic, and i met a havanese for the first time yesterday, and he was SOOO sweet! One of the nicest dogs i’ve met, and to top that, he was SUPER cute. And i don’t normally like small dogs.
I have a King Charles Spaniel and I personally think that he is pretty lazy. He sleeps all day and dosn’t need much excersie and sheds a lot. But, he is very loveable and loves people. He also gives lots of kisses.
