Absolutely – in fact, many breeders who show their dogs even keep “retired” dogs in a puppy cut. It is definitely easier to manage that way too!

    Yes you can keep it in any length that helps you maintain the coat properly. Very few pet owners can properly maintain Havanese coat full length due how quickly it mats.

    Of course. It’s your dog, your choice. A little less fur certainly isn’t going to harm the dog, and will make the coat easier to care for.

    I don’t see why not. If we get a cocker spaniel or cocker mix in the future, I’m planning on keeping the coat pretty darn short most all year round!
