They are fantastic dogs!! They can be a little pricey. Consider rescue, cheaper and more value for the money. A veterinarian will have the number for Havanese rescue, if there is one, they are also sort of rare. I dog sat for one once and wanted to keep him. He was the sweetest dog. Worth every penny.
Havanese are great little dogs but probably wouldn’t be good for you at this time. Small children and small dogs just don’t mix well.
You should probably be looking at a medium to large size breed because of the age of your brothers. Or wait until they are a bit older to get a havanese puppy.
They usually run around $1000 from a breeder, but that depends on your area of the country, too. They are supposed to be good with kids, non-shedding, small to medium size, and not excessive barkers.
